This post is all about how I made three separate greeting cards using the emboss resist technique. I also show you how I made my own custom coloured card stock using alcohol markers. The results have a wow factor to them and are sure to impress whoever I decided to gift them to.
This is a shaker card I made because I wanted to make a cute themed card for a baby shower card. I have had a slight obsession with making blended backgrounds for a while so was trying to utilise a sunset background as well as a baby themed stamp set I acquired off Aliexpress. Welcome Little One became the sentiment as I wanted to use up a large format diecut as well as try out a set of new sentiment strip diecuts. This birthday card idea was inspired by a AAA Birthday birthday card challenge whereby the theme for the month was flowers. Combined with my current obsession with blending on my homemade cards and trying to use as much of my crafty stash as possible. As I wanted specific coloured card to go with the dye inks I have to blend with I ended up making diy card stock colours too by utilising my alcohol markers.
Baby card or baby shower card I made to try and use up some of my crafty stash and test out various tools and resources I do not use often. these included baby themed stamp sets, die cuts and specialty sentiment strip die cuts and metallic brush markers.
Using lots of gnome die cuts from my crafty stash, this card was created using a homemade stencil to add interest to a blended background. An overall simple cute birthday card, perfect for any cute little person with an upcoming birthday.
