For my son’s 3rd birthday, I made a moon cake – a cake that looks like a moon. Covered in fondant and star shaped decorations, the pineapple cake inner is delightfully moist and delicious. A wonderful addition to the collection of space themed 3rd birthday cakes in our little family! He seemed to enjoy his day and us too and the cake was still good the next day.
This post is all about how I made three separate greeting cards using the emboss resist technique. I also show you how I made my own custom coloured card stock using alcohol markers. The results have a wow factor to them and are sure to impress whoever I decided to gift them to.
This birthday card idea was inspired by a AAA Birthday birthday card challenge whereby the theme for the month was flowers. Combined with my current obsession with blending on my homemade cards and trying to use as much of my crafty stash as possible. As I wanted specific coloured card to go with the dye inks I have to blend with I ended up making diy card stock colours too by utilising my alcohol markers.
A birthday cake of extravagance! this pineapple cake is not only made to look like a pineapple, it is made using pineapple cake so tastes like pineapple too. Even better is the base of grassy green is a platform of gluten free and dairy free pineapple. I had fun making this one!

A cloud cake made for my son’s fifth birthday party. Made to look like a cloud, this cake was delicious and completely devoured at the cloud themed event.
